IV nutrient therapy involves delivering a carefully formulated blend of vitamins, minerals, and amino acids directly into the bloodstream. Unlike oral supplements which pass through the digestive system and liver, where absorption can be reduced, IV therapy provides nutrients straight into the circulation. Bypassing the gut, this approach maximises bioavailability and allows for fast, 100% effective absorption by the body, supporting optimum health and wellbeing.

IV nutrients are delivered through an intravenous infusion. A small cannula is gently placed into a vein, usually in your arm or occasionally the back of your hand, allowing nutrients to be comfortably delivered through specialised tubing.
At IV Health Clinic, we use the smallest suitable cannula to minimise discomfort. Most infusions take approximately 30–40 minutes, although treatment time may vary depending on your personalised infusion. We will advise you on timings at the time of consultation.

Client safety is our highest priority. We carefully research and source high-quality products from reputable, established suppliers with strong safety records.
Unlike many providers, we are a CQC registered clinic, (Care Quality Commission – the independent regulator of healthcare services in England). This means that our service meets strict regulatory standards for safety, governance, and quality of care. All our infusions are prescribed by an experienced nurse prescriber who is registered with the NMC – the Nursing & Midwifery Council - which is the UK regulator for nurse practitioners. This follows a thorough clinical assessment, and our service undergoes regular inspection to ensure safe, effective, and well-led care.
As with any treatment, IV nutrient therapy carries potential benefits and risks, which is why it should always be delivered by appropriately trained and trusted healthcare professionals.

IV nutrient therapy supports both reactive healthcare, such as boosting immunity and hydration after illness, and proactive healthcare by optimising wellbeing. Every appointment begins with a complimentary consultation, either face-to-face or online, where our experienced nurses assess your health history, goals, and suitability for treatment.
If IV therapy is not appropriate for you, we will always provide honest guidance and recommend the most suitable next steps.

Your appointment begins with a consultation and health assessment to ensure IV therapy is safe and appropriate for you. During this time, we will discuss your medical history, wellbeing goals, and recommend the most suitable treatment.
Once your infusion has been prescribed, you can relax while your IV therapy is administered. Many clients use this time to rest, read, or work. After your infusion, you can usually return to your normal daily activities straight away

No, not all infusions are the same. Each one can be carefully tailored to suit your individual needs and health goals. Integrity and trust are at the heart of what we do, which means complete transparency about what goes into every infusion. You have every right to know exactly what you’re receiving, after all, it’s going into your body to support your health and wellbeing.
-
Yes. By law, all intravenous fluids must be prescribed. While some providers may administer infusions without a prescription, at IV Health Clinic we are uncompromising when it comes to safety and clinical governance. Every IV infusion is prescribed by an experienced nurse prescriber following a full consultation, ensuring treatment is safe, appropriate, and clinically justified.

While many clients notice a difference within a few hours, results can vary from person to person and depend on the specific IV treatment received. Individual responses differ, but some of the earliest benefits may include increased energy, improved focus, and enhanced hydration.
-
The frequency of IV therapy depends on your individual goals. Some clients choose a single session, while others benefit from regular supportive or restorative infusions. Your personalised plan will be recommended during your consultation.
